For those who are impatient: Setup was seamless, with no issues during initial use. In my opinion, the Amp Ultra doesn't sound any worse than the Amp Pro. The screen is a nice gimmick.
More on that after I've had more than half an hour of relaxed listening. Yesterday I mainly set up the Amp Ultra; today I haven't had much time.

Sorry, but you took in a spirit of contempt, and that was not how I was typing it. The comment sections have been guessing that Wiim was going to combine the Ultra and the Amp in a package. That may be the problem with comment sections, people get judged and called all sorts from a comment.

Have you already been able to test the Amp Ultra in all your systems? When did you get it? Have you done direct comparisons using a switch and volume adjustment? I swapped the Amp Pro for the Amp Ultra, so a direct comparison isn't possible for me.
How does this "sounds much better" manifest itself?

The problem in most informal listening comparisons is how to control for level differences, auditory memory and common sources of bias. With loudspeaker amplifiers such controls are not trivial to setup.

And without controls in place it is difficult to say what is causing a device to be perceived as 'better' or 'worse' sounding than another one.
Could be something as simple as a fraction of dB level difference between the two (which could obviously easily be compensated by adjusting volume). Could also be many other reasons, of course - but sadly no way to know for sure without establishing proper controls in the listening test.

Which is why I personally always advocate caution when reading "sound quality" anecdotes shared by people online.
