I understand your concern, but you need to take into account that the WiiM app is not originally the official app for AudioPro speakers (non-WiiM Edition).
I get that they’re a separate brand and don’t have to include the Audio Pro stuff in their app, that’s totally fine. What really annoys me is the total lack of communication. It leaves users wondering "Is this a bug or what?” and they don’t even officially acknowledge it? Feels kind of sneaky.

This is true, but some retailers (e.g. Richer Sounds) include Linkplay cross capability in their sales pitch for Wiim products - it's why I bought my first C3. That might not be Wiim's fault either, but still - annoying that features can be removed and (hopefully) readded on a wh(i)im.

Wiim posted this on Facebook. Not much detail and not sure about the "mistake" comment.

"Hi Team, we'll resume the support to the existing audio pro devices in the WiiM Home App in our next release. Please stay tuned! BTW, it's done by mistakes."

This is good news! (Not the mistake, obviously that's a bit embarrassing, but the fact it wasn't deliberate.) Wiim are back on my Xmas card list

They partnered with Audio Pro to make their first line of "WiiM" speakers correct? There are certain expectations from customers then... Yes, I expect all of it to work together like it has for the last 8 months. Some of you guys on this forum even clarified the Wiim/Audio Pro compatibility (Linkplay) when I started to ask questions and buy into this ecosystem.

Once again, its another case of company breaking its app... The shit works fine one day and then boom, doesn't work and its unacceptable.

It's so hard for me to understand that at this point in time no one can come out with a quality, reliable multiroom audio system (HARDWARE & SOFTWARE) from a company that does not break its product.

And when is the next release, two months from now, four months from now???

Hey everyone! Sorry again for the trouble. I've been traveling for a couple days and haven't gotten all the details yet, but I'm getting up to speed.

Generally speaking, we publish new software every two weeks. But when there's something important that we can fix sooner, we'll push that out as soon as possible

I agree, it is suspicious... why the hell would they not want both products to continue to work well together, they both benefit do they not???

And how is something like that overlooked, they are still selling their damn Audio Pro/ WiiM speakers on Amazon, why cause an issue aside from the already WiiM Version/Non-WiiM version Audio Pro speaker confusion.
