I understand your concern, but you need to take into account that the WiiM app is not originally the official app for AudioPro speakers (non-WiiM Edition).
I get that they’re a separate brand and don’t have to include the Audio Pro stuff in their app, that’s totally fine. What really annoys me is the total lack of communication. It leaves users wondering "Is this a bug or what?” and they don’t even officially acknowledge it? Feels kind of sneaky.

This is true, but some retailers (e.g. Richer Sounds) include Linkplay cross capability in their sales pitch for Wiim products - it's why I bought my first C3. That might not be Wiim's fault either, but still - annoying that features can be removed and (hopefully) readded on a wh(i)im.

Wiim posted this on Facebook. Not much detail and not sure about the "mistake" comment.

"Hi Team, we'll resume the support to the existing audio pro devices in the WiiM Home App in our next release. Please stay tuned! BTW, it's done by mistakes."

This is good news! (Not the mistake, obviously that's a bit embarrassing, but the fact it wasn't deliberate.) Wiim are back on my Xmas card list
:)

They partnered with Audio Pro to make their first line of "WiiM" speakers correct? There are certain expectations from customers then... Yes, I expect all of it to work together like it has for the last 8 months. Some of you guys on this forum even clarified the Wiim/Audio Pro compatibility (Linkplay) when I started to ask questions and buy into this ecosystem.

Once again, its another case of company breaking its app... The shit works fine one day and then boom, doesn't work and its unacceptable.

It's so hard for me to understand that at this point in time no one can come out with a quality, reliable multiroom audio system (HARDWARE & SOFTWARE) from a company that does not break its product.

And when is the next release, two months from now, four months from now???

Hey everyone! Sorry again for the trouble. I've been traveling for a couple days and haven't gotten all the details yet, but I'm getting up to speed.
And when is the next release, two months from now, four months from now???
Generally speaking, we publish new software every two weeks. But when there's something important that we can fix sooner, we'll push that out as soon as possible

I agree, it is suspicious... why the hell would they not want both products to continue to work well together, they both benefit do they not???

And how is something like that overlooked, they are still selling their damn Audio Pro/ WiiM speakers on Amazon, why cause an issue aside from the already WiiM Version/Non-WiiM version Audio Pro speaker confusion.

as a new member, I greet all the forum members.
I was informed about the new version of the wiim home app from here.
I don't get a notification for a new version of the application, as happens when there is a new firmware?
thanks.

Not sure what point you’re making - I don’t get explicit notifications from the Google Play store or iOS App Store for new versions of apps, I need to go check or have automatic updates switched on. If you mean a thread in this subforum, then most new versions do get a post while minor bug fix revisions may not.

when there is new firmware, as soon as I open the wiim home app, it says so.
The same does not happen when there is an update to the app.
I was informed about the wiim home app v3.3.5 as soon as I registered on the forum.
that's what I meant.
thanks.

WiiM Home App v3.3.6 brings back the connection to Audio Pro devices.
👍Thank you WiiM for this fast update.
That's good to hear, hopefully this does not turn into some kind of ongoing drama with compatibility issues down the road...

When they apologised for the "mistake" they didn't mention compatibility with future Audio Pro speakers at all.

With the new update, regarding PEQ: how does one SAVE a PEQ setting?? I have several PEQ settings, and I make some changes from time to time but can't seen to save them as there is NO SAVE button anywhere now?
It’s still where it’s always been for one both my iPad and android phone. Try deleting the app and re-install, but note this might lose some settings like the open network stream list.

I really can't see why they wouldn't... If someone with more inside knowledge wants to chime and elaborate on their relationship, please do.

Audio Pro is releasing its W Generation of Wiim powered speakers so hopefully they can continue to "Play Nice" like Audio Pro slogan suggests because I will certainly continue to purchase from these brands...

Just to add, my system consisting of 5 WiiM/3 Non-WiiM (see sig) has been running perfectly without any issues for several months even with another mesh router upgrade (Deco), no dropouts and it's always ready to play when I need it. I control everything with both Android (phone) and an iPad.

Yeah thanks, found it. Stupid me! Doh!!!

I assume the new VU meter option is just for the Ultra’s display. I was hoping on the device playing window in the app you could choose a VU meter instead of album art.

Thank you so much for this! I was getting worried...
Running several WiiM products and Audio Pro speakers in combination, has been for a long time. Next purchase is a pair of A48 since I heard the new W generation will be a major upgrade. Great to hear that they will continue to work together, no idea what I would do otherwise.
