Sub Pro + WiiM mini - full bass management?? 🤔

Apologies for the long post, and if this has been asked/answered here already...
🙏

Just wanted to ask here since i couldn't find confirmation of this in any of the guides. i was looking through the setup page at https://faq.wiimhome.com/en/support...Up-the-WiiM-Sub-Pro-through-the-WiiM-Home-App just to see which tuning options will be available in the WHA when a Sub Pro is paired specifically with a WiiM mini in the app.

there is a section right at the bottom of that page is the "tuning subwoofer settings on WiiM devices" section - under tips + troubleshooting. where it goes through the options that would be configurable when a normal sub is connected to a WiiM with bass management + a sub/LFE out. is this the same set of options we will see with a WiiM sub pro+ mini combo?? 🤔 (and i'm assuming this applies to the the Pro and Plus as well?)

in particular - will there be full bass management available? i.e. could i set a digital crossover in WHA so that the mini 3.5mm output would have a high pass filter automatically applied to it at that chosen crossover point??

I think a similar question has been asked before.
For the wiims that don't have sub out, and therefore don't have the bass management options, it was suggested to use PEQ to effectively simulate a high pass filter. i.e attenuate the low frequencies.

thanks for your response. i believe that was asked in the context of connecting a normal sub to a WiiM without bass management. are you referring to this thread? https://forum.wiimhome.com/threads/...et-on-wiim-mini-to-add-active-subwoofer.8046/

as far as i can see - no mention of what kind of bass management is available when a WiiM mini/pro/pro+ is specifically paired with the WiiM sub pro...
🤔

Yeah, I note the distinction, but am prepared to be amazed if bass management magically appears somehow when paired with a sub!
Let's wait for someone with both wiims to comment...

I should have added that the Mini's PEQ does not yet have a high-pass. If you can't apply a high pass in the Sub pro crossover, you can't apply a high pass filter in the Mini.

When I connect the WiiM Sub Pro wirelessly to a Wiim device, whether that be a Mini or an Ultra, I just get these options:

It’s only when I choose Wired that the Subwoofer&Speakers Sync, Subwoofer Bypass Mode and Main Speakers Output Bass options appear.

When you set the crossover frequency on the Sub Pro I assume this also high-passes the signal to the main WiiM device (e.g. Mini), right?
And I wonder how they manage delay/synchronization of the main device and Sub Pro - perhaps automatically like they do for multiroom playback?

In both cases I’d guess so…

Do you have a screenshot of these other options, as I only get the options shown in your screenshot posted above.

Note that I don’t have the Sub Pro wired to the Ultra, it’s connected to my Linn amp so the sub setting is off on the Ultra, but again all I get for the Sub Pro in that case is the shortened version.

That’s strange, mine is wired to my Ultra, but I don’t have those last three options available. 🤔

Are you looking at the settings from the sub pro device settings, or from the wired sub out settings in the Ultra settings?
The Sub Pro doesn't have its own separate device "Tile" in the WiiM Home app, but instead there is a Sub Pro icon within the Ultra device "Tile", and this is located to the Left of the remote control icon.

These are the only settings currently available for my Sub Pro.

Does the Ultra's Subwoofer Settings get used (or prioritised) for wired connections?

... We need a detailed manual 🤔
The only subwoofer settings I have are those in the Ultra Subwoofer settings, see images in my previous post.
