Then go +1 the feature request For some reason it's sitting at -1 right now.... @RyanWithWiim any idea why the negative score ?
The negative score is simply because it had been downvoted before this useful feature was removed. Then go +1 the feature request For some reason it's sitting at -1 right now.... @RyanWithWiim any idea why the negative score ?
The new album art display may be following the same idea as the WHA but the colors used are not the same. Why?Looks like they now follow the WiiM Home App design.
The release notes are pretty clear and helpful, I think :I got the update, but I don't understand what the new FW update system is for. As before, every time you search for a new FW it tells you that the device(s) are up to date.
At some point, and without any searching, as happened this morning to my Ultra, the rocket pop-up appears telling you that a new FW is available.
Frankly, the manual search for the FW(s) seems useless and not working for me.
Of course, this is my personal opinion.
What's New:
1. Firmware Update Enhancements: Update all devices with new versions at once to save time. Find it under More -> Firmware Updates.
I think removing it was a great idea. It's pretty sad to see people nasty enough to specifically request that a feature NOT be implemented just because they don't personally want it.The negative score is simply because it had been downvoted before this useful feature was removed.

Why would someone check the release notes when there was no notification of an update
I can see it being useful if you have several devices (particularly of the same type) some of which have firmware updates available - rather than updating them serially, I expect this page will do them in parallel at the same time.I got the update, but I don't understand what the new FW update system is for.
It’s not necessarily “nasty” - it could be they’d rather not have that proposed change, or they think the development effort could be better spent elsewhere. Not having downvotes means that you don’t get any indication of how many people wouldn’t like such a change to be effected.I think removing it was a great idea. I suppose we can't see the new feature in action until the next firmware update is available. Nothing to see there at the moment.I can see it being useful if you have several devices (particularly of the same type) some of which have firmware updates available - rather than updating them serially, I expect this page will do them in parallel at the same time.
Being able to see both positive and negative would make more sense. Otherwise you can't differentiate between something being ignored and something actually controversial. Not all features requests are optional, neither was I quantifying nor comparing effort against another particular request, just that it would be non-zero. Democratising voting so you that you can see both positive and negative votes would help, but even a zero ranking is informative in that it just says as many people don’t want it than do.
It's totally up to you if you allow automatic updates to happen on your smartphone. It's just between you and Google (or Apple). Why would someone check the release notes when there was no notification of an update
My ultra doesn't update from the play store, my wiim app doesIt's totally up to you if you allow automatic updates to happen on your smartphone. It's just between you and Google (or Apple).
Why would someone not check the release notes of the software he's using if there is a change in functionality?
Would my reply have been better if I hadn't mentioned the source of my wisdom?
