WiiM Ultra Firmware v5.2.708441 - Feb 22, 2025

You can rename and move a Preset now (see release notes) but you still cannot change the picture and the picture set for a radio station is still the actually playing track and not the station logo.
Can you play a preset of a slave device in MRM?

Sorry I don't understand your question.
Sorry, I am talking about this feature 🙂.

"Preset EnhancemPents:
Move presets (requires app v3.1.4).
Presets now work in slave mode."

Ok. I don't know what that means either :unsure:

I only have one Ultra that is updated, so maybe not possible to test until my Pro Plus is updated also?

PS: @WiiM Support I don't like to called it "slave". We should not use the master/slave concept. Call it "main" and "client" instead.

For example, let's say the MRM master is Ultra and Pro is the slave.
Currently, if you press "Preset 1" on Pro during group playback, "Preset 1" on Ultra will play. Perhaps this new feature will allow group playback of presets registered on Pro. (But I could be misunderstanding and would like an explanation from the team.)

My apologies for my poor explanation..

I used to call it "host", "client", but it never caught on 😂.

vague feedback read on asr concerning the subject ""vumeter"""..I have the impression that we have not finished hearing about it and that the subject will not yet be closed....

Understood. It's not working as of now. I guess I need update both devices.

Yes. Much better. @WiiM Team just have to find a common terminology in the documentation that is not the historically bad words. For now WiiM uses many different concepts.

@Maurizio,

Here's an update for you 😄😂
"New VU Meter designs (requires app v3.1.4)"
@Wiimer
Yes, I saw. I saw the most obscene and horrible thing I have ever seen in my life. And those are VuMeters? Sounds like a sick joke to me. Horrible graphics as flat as a sheet of paper.
Moreover, while the original, much better made Meter is practically the only screen that can be read from a certain distance, 4.5 metres, these two new obscenities are also unreadable.
All you see is a blur of light that is also very annoying. Rushed back to the old meter.
They could have saved themselves the trouble of making such an abortion 😖 😖 😖 😖

Abortion? 🥲🫠

I just saw a few screenshots and the options seem pretty nice, although there's not much "customization" to do - just a few selectable designs.

What we most need is the option for the VU meter to show the source level instead of the output level.

Yes. For a pre-amp it shall be input. And for a digital signal it shall be showing dBFS.

Edit: @RyanWithWiiM It looks like @WiiM Team either don't read the WiiM forums or don't understand what is asked for. What we see is mostly a wast of development resources, just as with the resent album art display update.

I updated the firmware, updated the app to 3.1.4, and cleared the app storage. I'm still not seeing the new VU meters. Am I missing something?
