Thanks. And still with completely wrong scale. This is a VU meter for a power amplifier output. Not a digital pre-amp input. Must be with max at 0 dBFS.

@RyanWithWiiM Why don't @WiiM Team listen?

And a very disappointing design. Don't match the rest of the look and feel. Wait! There are no look and feel.
Absolutely amazing 3 different colours of the same thing how will I ever choose

I know that this is low priority compared to the sound functionalities but when the device have a screen, why not use it in a professional way.

A good looking device with an attractive screen is both a sales argument and giving the owner the same kind of satisfaction as nice cables and things like that.

I was hoping for a retro vu meter but we just got a color change of the old one with the same behaviour 😭. I hope that they read us and at least they tweak it to make it more functional (that +10db thingy drives me nuts)

They could at least have added a bit of 3D to the needle and edges.

The most disappointing thing is however the wrong scale and no option to show input signal level (after pre-gain but before EQ).

It's clear that they have been created with low priority.

But they are there, so why not make them useful for the people that do care, when spending time on it at all?
I totally get your point and I can follow that line of thought. For most it's just a gimmick. They care about a nice retro look, not about something useful. Right now, WiiM don't please any of both camps. :)

I actually try to use it for adjusting the analog input from a tape recorder. For now I have to turn the Amp off, turn the volume full up and then I see the meter go to around +5 dB at max. I don't know why that value is max or if it represents the volume when all bits are 1? If it does, the scale should show 0 dBFS.

What I need is the measures of the input, after pre-gain, on the dBFS scale and ideally with an indication of max sample value reached (should never happen).

I don't use the meter for anything else, as then it is just something that moves when I play.
