True, but a big part of WiiMs appeal and point of difference from other established audio brands is offering consumers both a more comprehensive set of features and better value.
I'm sure lack of (quality) headphone support won't bother a lot of potential users, but it will some. At the end of the day I'll be happy to stick with my Ultra and yamaha amp because it offers me everything I need (including two options for wired headphones )

Been waiting ages to replace my ancient pioneer vsx521 that I still use to power 2 tannoy Mercury v4 floor standers with a modern streaming setup (currently just use a wiim mini on this specifically, was my first wiim device years ago!). Got a wiim amp pro for the kitchen setup but I was looking for more power for these floor standing speakers and the ultra finally achieves that so let me order it please haha.

Box was pretty banged up but the inside appears fine. I won't have my speakers until September so we'll have to wait until then to use.

I opened the box and everything looks okay. I'm just saying I'm not going to be able to plug it into any speakers to test it out until September. I'm sure that lithium battery will be fine until then.

What speakers? I bought one and returned it when I realized I didn't have enough room in my carry-on to bring it back...

How would it be a problem? No different to your mobile phone or any other battery powered device these days, it's fine to sit in the box as it will be pre charged with very minimal discharge.

If they were waiting 18 months then maybe that is different!

Can someone educate me on the silly question of why have a usb output? On an all in one? Usb input makes way more sense for another device to use the speakers but to just be an output my mind is struggling to see the use case.

I know it must be a pretty obvious reason and probably has merit but I'm curious as to what people actually use it for, the lack of usb input is a touch disappointing (very minor) just for the fact I plan to replace my very old setup in one room which is just an AVR with wiim mini and pc connected to it.

USB output can be used to connect headphones.
