WiiM Ultra Firmware v5.2.630635 Update - Sep 27, 2024

It's a mess. You might think you are manipulating the crossover frequency, but you actually change the frequency, the filter slope and the level in the pass band! There's nothing wrong with trying things out. Just be aware that there might be more variables than originally expected.
Ughhh, I didn't expect that. Thanks for sharing

Note that this behaviour is not limited to REL. It's not that they're doing something specifically wrong (except for the weird connection recommendations in their manuals) that everybody else is doing right. It's pretty much the norm. :)

DSP controlled subs are different, of course.

Hey everyone! The team has confirmed that the plan is for the Crossover settings to be enabled even if Subwoofer Bypass mode is enabled, they're working to get that changed soon, so it shouldn't be greyed out after they've pushed that out. Thanks for flagging it!

Thank you! Now, can find out when can we expect the automatic time alignment?

Well, I have a strange one. I have both Roon and JRiver. JRiver connects to the Ultra through the DLNA interface. Before the last update, I could click on the Ultra endpoint listed as an option in JRiver and it would turn green indicating music would now stream there.

But after the Ultra update, I can click til I'm blue in the face and the Ultra doesn't respond. I tried this on a Mac, Linux, and Windows 11. All the same thing - Ultra is dead in the water. But if I first initiate the Ultra with something else...say Roon, then the JRiver DLNA works like it used to and on all platforms.

Crazy, huh?

But the last update fixed my trigger which is working again.......

Not surprising. The updates seem to be one step forward one step back. After the last one Amazon music seems less stable for me.
