This is the
one point I actually understand very well.
Even with the same "room correction EQ" (which depends on the room, furniture, room treatment, speakers and subwoofers, speaker positionsing) users should be able to apply "programme EQ".
This "programme EQ" should be applicable completely independent of but in combination with "room correction EQ" based on content (e.g. news, movies, music or musical styles), time of the day (e.g. low level night time listening), personal mood or even different listeners.
Abusing different subwoofer configurations for such needs (like "I don't need my sub for night time listening while the lady is asleep and the neighbors are just waiting to bang on the wall with a broomstick") is just that: abuse. Get
one speaker (and subwoofer) setup that works
accoustically correct (including RC) and use EQ for everything else. That's simpl the right way to do it.
