WiiM Ultra Firmware v5.2.708441 - Feb 22, 2025

Another issue that I expected to have been fixed with this release is the missing display of album title on the Ultra screen. Only track and artist is listed.

I know I will get the usual arguments of that you can't see them anyway or that it's of no use but I would still like to see issues fixed.
I guess if you’re gonna have something that useless it might as well work right🤣 I will say my ultra is faster changing tracks. And I think the USB output does sound a little bit better a little more dynamic/alive

I agree. USB out has improved.

Please review the WiiM Ultra update release notes below. If you encounter any issues, feel free to reach out to us. This firmware update is being rolled out in stages, with devices updating sequentially over the next few days.

Just had an update on the app to 3.1.5, rebooted ultra, cleared cache but no new vu meters. Does anyone know what this update is intended to do?

See the App Store update info - it’s to fix a display issue with preset names.
Except that it's not fixed.

I got the new WHA but still see the appended timestamp.

I don't know why, but the new VuMeters are only selectable from the IOS App. There is no option in the Android App

After having L/R with sub + upload cal file for ext microphone, the only important thing for me is to have a possibility to set presets like

Button 1 on Wiim Pilot: Input Wifi Spotify XXX song + various settings
Button 2 on Wiim Pilot: Input Optical (PC) + various settings
Button 3 on Wiim Pilot: Input TV + various settings
Button 4 on Wiim Pilot: Input Wifi Radio XXX + various settings

Everything else has been practically fixed and added already! Congrats! Well, Maybe also Youtube Music as a standalone service instead of using Chromecast.

Have you tried L/R room correction with subwoofer? I found that although it seemed to work none of my previously saved PEQ filters worked correctly.

Aside from how it looks on graph, how does it sound? I’m not signing up, your answer would be enough. 😆
Still working on it. I am waiting for WiiM to fix the issue with my existing saved filters so I can compare L/R with Stereo. Maybe I'll try repeating the Stereo measurements but if WiiM had expected the old filters to stop working correctly they should have said something. Since they said they would investigate the issue they obviously didn't expect previously saved filters to stop working.
