If it is reading those, there’s no sign yet that they’re using them or it would have been trumpeted. So far I think it’s just Tidal they’re testing in a beta.Wonder if improved metadata includes reading the ReplayGain/Album gain values?
AFAIK it doesn't match the phase of the sub and the main speakers at the crossover frequency.New update installed on my Wiim Ultra.
Automatic syncing of 3060S QA sub and KEF R700 speakers done.
9 ms applied .
Sounds great.
Sorry, trying to improve my english...what do you mean ?AFAIK it doesn't match the phase of the sub and the main speakers at the crossover frequency.
It would be great If you can adjust the sensitivity of the VU Meter or set a certain range. Can we have more type of meter screens? Is only one?
Yes also this. With hdmi it works much better than when im playing from tidalIt would be great If you can adjust the sensitivity of the VU Meter.
I'll try it again when the official firmware arrives on the amp but I found that the auto timing recommended 8ms delay but when I measured the frequency response with Room Equalisation Wizard the maximum amplitude was with a delay of 3ms. WiiM even state that the delay isn't measured at the listening position and uses the devices built in microphone and not the phone microphone.Sorry, trying to improve my english...what do you mean ?
Here is my settings:
Crossover frequency at 60 Hz
Main speakers on full band (my choice)
I have noticed a real change, sub and speakers seem to be in phase. No more phase cancellation.
FOLLOW-UP: I submitted a ticket and they pushed out a beta firmware fix which resolved the issue. Man that was fast! Thanks WiiM!I have a bug with today’s firmware update. My custom (private) Icecast radio station no longer loads/plays. It plays fine on my other Ultra (without today’s firmware) and plays fine on my Mini. It also played fine on this Ultra prior to todays firmware.
My stream is in the format
Added properly and correctly via WHA Open Network Stream function
Is the new firmware labelled (beta)? If not good luck trying to leave it later. I am stuck on an unlabelled beta even though I have been allegedly removed from the whitelist.FOLLOW-UP: I submitted a ticket and they pushed out a beta firmware fix which resolved the issue. Probably because the clock faces are on the device via the firmware, but only configurable via the app.Got my update this morning and clock face choices remain the same. The release notes indicate the new clock faces will arrive when the App update is released. Two thoughts -- if the new clock faces are dependent on the App, why announce it with the firmware update? Second, I wonder when the new App will be out? Minor point, but still a shade annoying.
Yes, and it apparently will allow me to revert to production, which I have not tried. Make sure you submit your system logs via the WiiM app when you submit a ticket. I believe they need your MAC address. Is the new firmware labelled (beta)? If not good luck trying to leave it later. They told me I'd been removed from the whitelist but I still can't update. In this case the beta firmware is higher than the official firmware until this month's amp firmware is released.Yes, and it apparently will allow me to revert to production, which I have not tried. A few days ago, I had a similar issue to yours where it wasn’t labeled as beta and I couldn’t update since the version of the beta was higher and I had no option to revert. But within a few hours of submitting my ticket they reverted me.
So far I’m really impressed with the tech support!
The reason I can't revert to official is because the official firmware is older than the beta. I guess if it had been labelled as a beta I would be able to revert.Yes, and it apparently will allow me to revert to production, which I have not tried. Good point, but still a bit of a tease to announce a feature in a firmware update that won't be useable until they get around to doing something they haven't done yet.... As noted, just a minor annoyance.Probably because the clock faces are on the device via the firmware, but only configurable via the app.
